What's The Weekend Worth?

Picnic seems like a good idea for the weekend and therefore this weekend my friend and I decided to go for a nice picnic by the beautiful sea in Batu Feringgi, Penang. Here's a photo of the beautiful place from where we sat down.

It was a very sudden plan we had thinking how should the nice weekend be spent, and we were also more interested in activities which could calm our minds and allow our body to rest hence the beach plan came up! It was that spontaneous that we did not have time to prepare anything to consume or drink so we played it easy by taking away McDonalds and set up our mat on the beach to enjoy our breakfast. We even brought nail polishes, books and what not to spend the day thinking of staying put till sunset, but unfortunately the weather has been quite rainy for the past few days so sunset was not possible.

We left and resorted to grocery shopping. It might not be the coolest thing to do but I actually thought I had so much fun checking out food products, comparing the brands and prices. Also knowing the fact that I would have all the food stocked in my house and not needing to spend extra time thinking where and what to eat for the coming days and as for snacks up to the next month.

It is good to live alone away from everyone because I get to do what I want and find out how much of something do I like. I also get to train myself to keep a house tidy and organized. Currently I am focusing on 2 things, one would be my job (practical actually to get me a job later on) and my well-being as to health and mental. I am trying to do a lot of things which would make things feel better! It is really important to ensure you are happy as it makes everything else a lot easier. It also gives you the time to think about your goals and dreams and keep your focus on it.

I am really glad I chose to come to Penang for my Pupillage because of the things I could afford to do here, not in money wise but in the sense of having time for all of these. So far it has been a great month to sum up! Wonderful experience and I am jotting down everything I am learning to see the progress at the end of the month and for the following months.

Signing off now, there's still a day to enjoy tomorrow, but Sundays usually ends early for me so that I could get up on time for work and have a great start for the week. I think waking up good on the first day of the week is so important, it determines how the week would end up to be. If you are organized from Day 1, it's easier to keep to that spirit and before you know it, the next weekend has arrived!.

Have fun & stay focus!

Living Alone Feels Good!

Hi there everyone! How is the week coming up for the rest of you? It's been pretty amazing I must say to be able to live alone. Firstly, I've always liked apartment because for the price you pay, you have access to wonderful facilities. As for my apartment now it has sauna, gymnasium, badminton court, tennis court, squash court, swimming pool, reading room, conference room you name it! I like how everything is so close to me. On top of that being so near to the working place, I am able to come back home whenever I want to whether to eat or so. The best part is waking up late! I must say that I've been getting enough sleep though maybe for now haha! But still I'm grateful that for these few days I have some time on my own to get enough rest first after the whole process of moving here and there.

Staying alone has lots of benefits for me and also I would consider the period where you figure out things for yourself. For instance, what do you prefer most, how would you like your room to be, how would you arrange the things you have in the kitchen and what now. You even get to decide what mug to use and to every small detail that sometimes when you are on your mood swing matters. I also enjoy my shadow accompanying me. I think it is really important to be able to cope living alone and feeling comfortable to do things your way and on your own. I am extra thankful for the nice house-mates I have. And with this, I've also started to cook on my own. Which I actually don't mind so long as I have my own space to do my things. I feel great!

I took the chance staying so near to the sea to walk along it as often as I can, I love how the breeze gets into my face and hair and how I could just sit and think clearly. It is very crucial for me to have the space and time to do all the thinking, sorting out my thoughts and making judgements. I feel as if I am able to work more efficiently this way. From this, in the future when I have a place of my own, I would like to have my own study room to do my work and everything should be looking bright and neat. It helps my mind a lot. Well, some say the mess = creativity and I think so too, been there, done that. However for this job now, most of the time I am going to need my mind to think clearly therefore, the tidiness would be a great favour to myself.

oooh! And yea I also get to organize my meals timing which is awesome and somehow I find grocery and food stock shopping very interesting. Hmmm..... That should be about it for now, till then!

Done, done, done.

Hi peeps! I hope all of you are doing wonderful! Hmm... it wasn't as easy for me as I thought it would be to stay away from the people who are close to me and that thought was in my head when I started thinking of it being for years as such. However, in a way, if you wish and put in some effort, you would be able to pick out the friends you would love to keep and somehow you will try your very best to make contact with them. As for now, I've got in touched with the close friends I have on Skype so that we could do more of video calls and that goes the same for my family members & relatives.

I have so much blessings to count for everyone whom have helped me throughout the whole process. Firstly to my loving boyfriend's parents whom treated me nice food before I leave for Penang and ensured I have everything I might need when I am there. Then it was my uncles & auntie giving my household items that I will be needing, and the one I appreciate most is the Spaghetti Spoon! LOVEIT! and I've bought my spaghetti & sauce! Besides that, all my friends who tried to meet me before I left for Penang. It's not a big thing leaving to Penang actually; thanks to the 1 hour flight distance and for AirAsia making it cheap so that everyone can fly, but rather the time we may not be able to catch up whenever we want to due to work commitments and the difficulty in coming back to Melaka for long period. It takes 2 days for the travelling, to get a bus to the airport and later the flight, so yea... I appreciate all of that! Also the nice treat they gave me <3

Later, upon arriving at the airport, the ever loving godsister I have, Nishantel my really best friend picked me from the airport helped me with all the luggages and what's even better, helped me in the unpacking process which was done in just an hour! How nice! So at the moment everything looks neat and nice now, all sorted out, organized, well labelled & arranged. I took some time to walk around the area and discovered how nice this place is whereby I only need to cross the road and walk about 5 mins to reach the sea. A beautiful place for me to relax and do some reading (keeping itin mind). Bought everything I need for the time being from the shopping mall and I have a feeling I would be indirectly building some muscles by carrying all the items I bought back to the apartment. That includes a 5kg packet of rice and lots of other stuffs I had with me earlier.

The one VERY IMPORTANT thing I forgot about since the last time I stayed here in Penang was during my attachment 1 1/2 years ago, it's NO PLASTIC BAG policy. I've got to get my recycle bag the next time I am at the shopping mall.

With that, here's the view from my apartment, not the nicest of all but I love how I could see the sea.

Have a good day all!

Revecen Corporate Image Brand Ambassador Competition

Good day everyone! Thank you for taking some time to read my blog, I truly appreciate it! Last 2 days had been an amazing day where I was in Kuala Lumpur for a brand ambassador search. It was held by Revecen, a professional make up brand. So far, their products have not been released in the market for users to purchase them. But after 13 years of being in business here, they are now opening up for their products to be available to all out there. Hence, this is one of the reason they held the ambassador search. Nevertheless, I've used their products before thanks to my friend who was studying in Clara International College. So far, I've tried their eye shadows, face powder, loose powder and few other make up essentials. I found them good! Not thinking that one day I would be the ambassador for it.

It all started when I submitted my application on-line and out of more than a hundred ++ of us whom applied, 20 were short-listed based on the votes. From there we were called to their office in Make Up Mall. I made my journey there starting from 8am took a bus from Melaka and headed up, then took the train service to its area. Luckily I've got a really good friend to pick me up from the train station and dropped me right in front of the place. Thanks for the favour! We had few sessions throughout the event from 12.30pm - 5.00pm. Kicked off by the self make up contest where we were each evaluated based on how we applied out make up. next, we were each given a topic to speak about spontaneously and it was later followed by the Q&A session which I had to stop myself from answering further questions. We were also served with a nice light refreshment.

It was splendid mostly because of the friends I've made through this competition and so many of them were so genuine to speak to which I fancy most because you could really feel there was no barrier in communicating to one another and that everyone is so open to talk to you about themselves. At the end of the day I would say we've made good acquaintance with each other and I am hoping to keep this friendship for as long as it could be. We had such a great laugh for the hilarious jokes cracked by the master of ceremony and those who gave speeches and comments in between.

To end the day, the winners of Revecen Ambassador Search was announced, and the nice words to my ear was when my name was first to be called among the 5 selected ambassadors upon judging us from the minute we walked in up to the end of the spontaneous question & answer session. I won a whole lot of cosmetic products worth RM2000 from Oriks and Revecen. Extremely thankful! Also had a nice certificate I could keep to be inserted into my resume and a glass trophy to be displayed in my room reminding me of the day. OOHH!! and not to forget as the brand ambassador I am entitled to purchase their products at a 40% discount rate! WONDERFUL! In total I've got 2 ambassador titles for now! hehe!

1. Global Ambassador of Multimedia University Student Exchange Programme
2. Revecen Corporate Image Brand Ambassador.

Truly a wonderful experience to share! At the end of the day, I got a 7pm bus back to Melaka and ha a nice dinner after all the moving around. It was definitely worth the trip up! Plus, I am also giving out few of the cosmetic products to my friends! <3 Thanks for voting me and for being such amazing friends! Here are a few pictures of the event.

Working For Myself

Hello peeps! Counting down on my days of starting a new journey I was also thinking to  myself how important it is to work for ourselves. Working would definitely gives us the experience we need to take ourselves further. But despite the hours at work, I think how we manage the remaining hours are also key points in determining our near future in the career. I am going to take it in a way that I would learn as much as I can from work but dedicate some of my time to further improve myself in areas I would like to specialize in by studying on my own. It's going to take quite a few hours per day but I think discipline gets you to your goal.

So, I'm going to do my part to build my career and I've already got plans up to the next 5 years and let's see what happens! <3

Signing off, Xoxo!

Only What's Important

Hallo! What a cooling evening it is today with the rain from afternoon. The bad part of it is that my laundry is not progressing well as it couldn't dry. I hope to have a dryer when I have my own house in the future.

As I was doing the-almost-final packing of my baggages, I found out how many things I don't really need is lying all over my room. But well, it couldn't have been my 'home' without having all of those! It is quite difficult for me to decide if I like the idea or bringing or not bringing the item to put it into the baggage, but then when my sense kicks in, I thought to myself, nah I've not touched this for some time so why would I now want to use it especially if I am going to be busy at work anyway. So --> slashed out! The point to note in my mind is always to picture the room that I am going to stay in and thank about how much space I would have and how would I want to live over there. Then I came to the end result of I don't want to have too many things there because I want it to look neat and calming to my mind.

But the one problem I am going to have to sort out is where am I going to hide these humongous luggage bags... I think I'll figure out something later on. As for now, it's all well packed and I'm counting on the days.

Love, xoxo!

Breathing In The Air of Spring

Good day peeps! How are all of you doing? It is 5 minutes to 9.00pm in Victoria, Australia right now and a week has swiftly passed me being here. It was a wonderful adventure with new experiences and a tasteful journey learning about this continent. I've been around Victoria and New South Wales being around Canberra and Sydney as well. There were tons of places I've visited in this very short trip. The suggested period of visiting Australia is a minimum of 2 weeks! There's just too much to take note of and explore. In Melbourne, I've had a good view of the calm sea, pleasant beaches and the city. I would find this place rather amenable and amicable. It would be one of the places I could live in with the full understanding and confident it would be a good life. I love the greens that are found EVERYWHERE! It's early spring at the moment so the weather can get a little chilly with 11 degrees in the morning.

Canberra
It was quite an experience in this quiet city, it's something like the 'Putrajaya' we have in Malaysia, with the Parliament and Senate being here and other important government bodies are located here too. It has most of the embassies located within this  perimeter. It felt so good to be able to step into the Parliament being in the legal field and to buy the Federal Constitution of Australia from the Parliament shop. Yea~ we could probably get it online but it was more memorable having to get it from there. However, I don't think I would choose to live in this city because it can get too quiet and option for daily meals are pretty limited. It's also so far to get away so maybe it could remain as a place just for a visit.

Sydney
Great city for entertainment! You can get pubs, bar, clubs, massage shops, boutiques, games shop, puzzles shop, just anything, anywhere! It's all within walking distance in the city. I can even remember the names of the street! Among them:-

1. Pitt Street
2. Campbell Street
3. China Town
4. George Street
5. Kent Street
6. Macquarie Point
7. Liverpool Street
8. Elizabeth Street
9. Oxford Street

AND SOOO MANY MORE! I think this is a really good place for you to be to have a fun time with friends and family besides going for your sightseeing of the landmark places found in Sydney. It would be a good get away but I still prefer the lifestyle in Victoria. There's a huge difference between these two cities - IT STREET. You will find one much cleaner than the other ;) Visit it and see if you could notice. Especially the cigarette buds.

Victoria
It is amazing for its nature! I love how the Melbourne Zoo is, they have such an impressive landscaping and definitely has proven the point why Australia is famous for its zoo and safari. It could be noticed that the high rise buildings are mostly only within the city and once you are out from it, most of the structures are single tier and such beautiful houses are found all the way! Each with its beautiful own garden for the owners to enjoy their land and space. It is quiet here at night which I find quite positive as you can take it easy at night, spend some quality time with your family and enjoy CUPS of tea, or coffee or better, some hot chocolate!

There's too much to share in one post but it can be fantastically concluded that this country has so much to offer to the eye and if you love nature, then you would love Australia too! It is just so beautiful and hours would pass just by you being in one location admiring the old structures on the older parts of the cities and the wild. Without a doubt I would come over to this country again to explore and see more and maybe next time to Gold Coast or the ever beautiful place of Tasmania.

My Personal List of Talk Shows & TV Series.

Once again, hello to everyone of you who are on this page! I had a splendid time catching up with my favourite shows from talk shows to TV series and I thought why not share with all of you out there! But before that, I should mention here a little bit of myself so that you will know if these shows are of your type or not :D

I love:

- Classic Novels

- English movies (as in British)

- Most movies which could be of a new production but based on classic books

- I LOVE the Old English settings in movies

- A fan of fairytale (but I am A 100% aware of how life treats us)

- Concern towards humanity issues & social problems and ways to overcome it

- Loves humours

- Likes watching adorable kids doing their thing

- Big fan of music, of any genre!

- Anything that is informative

So, here are the list of Talk shows or TV series I love:

1. Downtown Abbey - which is Kate Middleton's favourite and ranked no.1 in the UK.

2. The Jeremy Kyle Show - it looks into social problems and offers social support to those in need.

3. The Ellen Show - So wonderful and informative! It also showcases talented children.

4. Once Upon A Time - Love the setting to it and how adventurous it gets

5. Castle - My comment is so far watching seasons after seasons, each episode has its own twist!

6. Air Crash Investigation - I get the input pertaining to Aviation field from here like - MAYDAY!

7. Glee - I love how they bring those good memories of old songs & lyrics to the new age & beat!

8. Gossip Girl - What I admire here most is not the storyline because it gets quite repetitive where everyone sleeps with everyone else and has problem with everyone else, but rather I admire the fashion collection here! Especially those of Blair's ;)

9. 2 Broke Girls - So wonderful! filled with non stop humour! *If you like adult jokes* It's a complete opposite to the idea of Gossip Girl. It also has to characters of 2 best friends here but they have to work their way up to get what they want and life hits them quite bad sometimes but I love how they take it with humour. It makes your day a lot better, you can loosen those muscles!

10. Suits - Why this is last on my list is not because it is most boring, but it is about the legal field (which is my current field) and despite it being able to teach you some terms *I find it easier to remember this way* but it is the furthest from the actual career, at least according to how it is practised in the common law countries. I don't know how exactly it is done in America but it wouldn't get to how this series portrays it. So by not watching it too much I stay focus on my job and do it the way it's suppose to be done.

So here it is, to be great talk shows & tv series for me! So, if you find some common grounds in our interest then maybe you should check them out if you have not watched any of it!

The Things I do Before Starting On A Job

Hello! So there are not many days left before I start off with my Pupillage and to me it's not just about getting to work, or completing my practical but it is the determination point of how my life and career will progress. I choose to make the best out of the pupillage. In order to have it work out the way I want, I decided to take a good break, to sort life out, to give myself a splendid time to enjoy what life could show to me and to sit and structure what I should do in the coming years. People may take in in two ways or more; firstly where everything is not predictable so why plan so many years ahead? Alternatively some, like me would prefer to have it all planned out first so that in the event anything gets in the way, you will know how to alter the plans and work with whatever you have.

In order to get what I want in the coming years, I have to spend a lot of time thinking through how to get it and how it should be done, and these are the things I had to think about and make a plan for:

  • What do I expect at the end of my Pupillage?
  • How is it going to play a part in my career for the next 5 years?
  • What are my priorities during the 9 months?
  • What are GOING to be the priorities after the 9 months of Pupillage?
  • What are the potential field I intend to be in for the next 5 years?
In deciding all this, I could determine very clearly which firm I would like to be in, what field should I focus on during pupillage and after its completion and the reasons behind them & how my lifestyle should be for the 9 months and several other matters. I don't want to just get done and over with it because to me this the the crucial 9 months to could help me a lot in my career and that I should make good use with every bit of it. This has got me to decide to head to work and besides working, to do my own studies on a specific field that I choose to be in. It will be tiring but it will definitely pay off one day. Did all the research I could, talked to as many people possible to view it from as many sides as I could and yeap! Decision ... MADE.

It's going to be working + studying. How is it possible? cut down on hanging out and pay more attention to my goal.

By thinking through everything and planning it all, I have the answers to the 5 questions I posted to myself earlier and now I know what should I do from the first day onwards. In addition to it, it is also important to pick up some notes on what should I learn to manage when I've started working. I am lucky enough that I am able to get valuable advise from my previous bosses & my uncle (a financial consultant) whom never stopped guiding me all the way and of course, I take each and every advice of theirs seriously cause they've been in this business long enough, in them I trust but I also had to weigh it to my circumstances and get the best out of it. I've also learned on how savings can be done in various ways and how to prioritize the categories of my savings, WHICH IS REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT.

I'm thankful that I've been able to talk to all these wonderful people and what I can conclude from it all is:-

1. Always mark out the important dates whether it is for holidays or a family or personal matter first

2. Plan out a Budget

3. Plan out your savings and how it should be divided

4. Learn your priorities in everything you do and write them out to remind yourself

5. Stay focus and discipline, always take a peep to your years ahead but stick to the present

6. If you think about earning more:

- focus on your career
- do whatever you can in it than to source out your energy for a part time job

There will be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in this case.

IT'S TIME FOR EXECUTION!

Prelude

Good day all! Firstly, thank you for viewing this blog of mine. I've always watched talk shows that shares information with people and the same time to share with whoever they can the good things that happens around them so as the bad. I thought that is a great idea because communicating is essential to me and expressing is very important. They said some things are better written down or read than to listen. Similar to how a love letter would work, no doubt having someone to say 'I love you' to you personally is a big deal, but at the end of the day, we do love the idea of scented love letters, with beautiful or NOT handwriting, colourful pens, or wonderful looking black ink pen. Whatever it is, it all has its different effect of expression, and therefore I learnt why not just write it all down & share it to all who come across it.

I'm going for a romantic and amazing holidays in 2 days time which I am pretty excited about!! But I'm saving the details for now to be shared soon and I would definitely include some feedback on the places I visited and what I bump into.

*To be further updated*

I am hoping to write beautiful stories here or opinions to matters I come across just to give my piece of mind <3
